The tour will expose you to the many secret beauty spots of the lush, green island which is filled with; beautiful forests, waterfalls, rivers, caves, lagoons, springs, blue holes, mountains and our many white sand beaches. We will visit some deep hidden treasures of the island and allow you to feel and experience the real authentic Jamaican roots and varying culture as we travel throughout communities from the East, North, West and South coast soaking up the history and culture the island has to offer, both with entertainment value and educationally. Day 1 - The Hidden Treasure of Port Royal
Kingston Airport Arrival and Welcome Drinks
After leaving the airport, we then head to one of Jamaica's oldest cities to have a guided tour of the Port Royal Museum and soak up some of the rich historical past of this city of treasure that was once known as the richest place on planet earth.
This Sunken City was once very vibrant and relevant in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries when Pirates, Buccaneers and the British Navy captained the seas. These are the persons who had left their mark on this city by garnering wealth and riches through dominating the seas. After this educational tour, we head into the city of Kingston, the capital of Jamaica where you will check in to the hotel for an evening of relaxation.
Day 2 - Heartbeat of Jamaica
We depart at 9:00 a.m. as we begin our exploration of the heartbeat of Jamaica, filled with history, art and culture. This journey begins with a tour of the city of Kingston which is bordered by Jamaica’s largest mountain range and is home to the world’s 7th largest natural habour. Kingston is rich with entertainment and is home to many thriving educational institutions in addition to being the business hub of the island. We will also visit one of Jamaica’s old cities that were vibrant and relevant in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Some of our site visits will be ‘drive through’ and others will be guided tour excursions. Some of the locations we will visit include: Waterlane Art Walk Tour, Bob Marley Museum, Devon House, Trench Town, the community where reggae music was birthed, and Spanish Town- the architectural national treasure of St. Catherine. Near the town’s entrance stands the oldest iron bridge of its kind in the Western hemisphere. We will have lunch at the restaurant of the fastest man in the world – Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records….you may spot him doing a post ‘to di world’.
Day 3 - Naturally
We depart at 8:00 a.m. for Portland. Picturesque Portland is located at the far east end of the island. You will journey through the eastern section of Kingston and St. Andrew making your way to the quiet, quaint and intimate rural suburbs of this parish. Take in and enjoy the rejuvenating freshness of the Caribbean breeze and the beautiful view of the mountainous landscape and rivers. Enjoy the beautiful scenic view along the coast of the northeastern side of the island. We will visit Folly Ruins, Blue lagoon, Frenchman’s Cove beach where the James Bond movie was filmed. We move onwards to a local farm that harvests bananas and coconuts. We end the day with a peaceful sail with rafting on the Rio Grande River.
Day 4 - The Centerpiece of Jamaica
Depart at 8:00 a.m. on to the parish of St. Ann for a variety of cultural experiences on the north coast of the island. Driving along the coast and inhaling the Caribbean Sea, making a stop at James Bond beach. It is called James Bond beach because the author Ian Fleming wrote the James Bond novels on the beach. We stop to explore the lovely parish of St. Ann, known as the Garden parish. Did you know that the name Ocho Rios is actually derived from the Spanish “Las Chorreras” meaning “waterfalls”? Yes, that’s what the Spaniards called Ocho Rios and so we will visit green grotto cave then onward to Dunn’s River Falls, one of the world’s best waterfalls, certified by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Day 5 - Complete Resort
We depart at 10:00 a.m. for Montego Bay, our energetic second city which is on the West side of the island. Travelling along the North to West coast with its beautiful site-seeing view, ocean view and landscape. We will stop at the Rose Hall Great House for a tour known as the White Witch of Rose Hall. We then head for lunch and onward to the hotel for a short rest before indulging in a night out to experience the activities of this thriving city always abuzz with exciting events.
Day 6 - Off The Beaten Track
We depart at 8:00 a.m. and travel to the parish of St. Elizabeth. St. Elizabeth is thought to have been named in honour of Lady Elizabeth Modyford, wife of the first governor of Jamaica (1664-1671). Travelling on the south side of the parish on to Appleton Estate, the island’s largest rum producer which makes Appleton’s most famous and well sought after rum. This is the oldest and largest distillery in Jamaica. We then make our way further inland to Accompong Village where you will get a taste of our African heritage. We then go to the well-known YS Falls for lunch followed by a tour of several waterfalls which flow into natural pools fed by underground springs, bordered by limestone cliffs and surrounded by lush, green forests.
Day 7 - Farewell
Departure, it’s all hug and kisses as we depart from the hotel and transport to airport port for departure. Yah man hope to see you real soon again!!!!! One love!
