This is one of the nicest places in Jamaica to wash down a cold Red Stripe beer. This whimsical structure sits on stilts ½ mile (1km) offshore between Treasure Beach and Black River atop a small sandbar reachable only by boat. It has become a local legend and a mandatory stop for many visitors to the South coast. 

Its rustic style is deliberately unpretentious with a charming thatched designed wooden structure mangrove. At the Pelican Bar, you can watch your choice of freshly caught seafood prepared to your taste. Enjoy, relax and soak up that horizon. 

Appleton Estate is where a few of Jamaica’s premium rum are produces from sugar cane, come see, taste and learn interesting facts about the process of making different kinds of rum on this guided tour.
